Anyone who works at sea knows how important it is to have well-maintained equipment. From divers and crew members to maintenance teams, dry and clean personal protective equipment (PPE) directly contributes to safety, comfort, and performance. PPE such as work overalls, boots, gloves, and helmets are exposed to moisture, water, and varying temperatures on a daily basis. Effective drying of these materials is therefore important, not only for the comfort of the crew, but also for hygiene and the longevity of the equipment.
Pronomar offers a wide range of drying systems designed for various types of equipment. Diving suits, survival suits, work overalls, wetsuits, life jackets, boots, gloves, and helmets can all be dried efficiently. The equipment is dried from the inside out using a large amount of warm air, with an air flow that is directed through the garment via stainless steel hangers. This ensures that all parts of the equipment are dried quickly and evenly. This prevents unpleasant odors, mold growth, and wear and tear.
Space is often limited on board ships. Thanks to their modular design, our open drying systems can be integrated almost anywhere and, if desired, can be fully customized. We also offer drying cabinets and drying lockers (for individual use), made from galvanized and powder-coated steel. These solutions ensure clarity and efficiency within the organization and can be finished in any RAL color. For both offshore and onshoreto applications, we also supply fully equipped mobile drying containers. These can be used when there is no space available on board or when temporary extra drying capacity is required, for example for a temporary project. Each container can be tailored to specific operational requirements.
Properly dried equipment not only increases comfort, but also reduces the risk of material defects and health problems. In addition, the crew benefits from a healthier and safer working environment.
