Pronomar are happy to have received an order from Albert Tiggelaar, Technical Director at Cruise lines Nijmegen B.V. They decided to equip one of their river cruise vessels, the MPS Bellriva with the innovative and environment-friendly Pronomar-MERUS solution.
The MPS Bellriva, formerly known as MS Italia, travels under the Swiss Flag and cruises the German rivers Rhine, Mosel and Main as well as through Holland and Belgium. No mod cons have been spared during the regular renovations and it offers space for a max. of 186 people in 90 cabins. All cabins offer a panoramic view and modern and stylish features with the focus on passenger comfort. Of course not only the cabins provide comfort and style, but also the MPS Bellriva’s general facilities, such as a restaurant with panoramic views, a lounge and bar, board shops, sauna, smoking area on the spacious sun deck etc. leave nothing to be desired.
Now that their passengers comfort has been taken care of, at Cruise Lines Nijmegen BV also make sure their vessel has the highest-possible standard in terms of technical equipment as well as environment-friendliness. For that purpose Albert Tiggelaar approached Pronomar for their MERUS solution and two 2” MERUS Industrial Rings for Green water treatment were installed.
This solution basically consists of rings which are simply installed around water pipes, hydrofoors, boilers etc. The rings then give off tiny oscillations disturbing the lime scale, bacteria and/or maritime growth (barnacles…). Afterwards the troublesome substances are simply flushed away leaving the respective equipment free from any harmful build-up. With the MERUS rings you not only bring back the initially experienced performance level but you also prolong the lifetime of the equipment in question, which means a significant decrease in operational and maintenance costs.
Pronomar are happy to see that the MPS Bellriva now cruises scale-free and environment-friendly and trusts the MERUS rings will fulfil their task flawlessly and as expected!
