Pronomar are happy to have received an order from GloMar Shipmanagement BV, a Dutch shipping company based in Den Helder, Netherlands, operating a fleet of offshore support vessels.
GloMar Shipmanagement BV have asked Pronomar to equip their vessel “GloMar Viking” with their state-of-the-art MERUS ring technology and only recently the following MERUS rings were installed:
One 5” HCI (High Capacity Industrial) ring was installed at the heat exchanger and one 1 ½ “ IND BIO (Industrial Bio) ring at the hydrofoor, with the purpose to counteract and fight heavy scaling which leads to a decrease in efficiency and drop in performance levels. The rings, once installed, give off microfine oscillations which disturb the lime scale. Afterwards the troublesome substances are simply flushed away leaving the equipment free from any scaling. By installing the MERUS rings you not only prolong the heat exchanger’s and hydrofoor’s lifetime, you also bring back the initial performance levels. On top of all that there is considerably less or even no maintenance required which means a significant decrease in operational costs as well as time saving.
