Pronomar are very happy to have received another follow up order from Hapag Lloyd, a world renowned company, headquartered in Hamburg, when it comes to container shipping.
After a first successful cooperation in 2009 and after recent orders for Hapag Lloyds “Seoul Express” and “Rotterdam Express”, Pronomar are proud that Hapag Lloyd approached them again with an order for their innovative and environment-friendly MERUS ring solution for green water treatment. This time it was for the “Antwerpen Express“ and it was for
– one 4“ HCI Merus ring for the Alfa Laval Fresh Water Generator.
Installation took place in September in Antwerp, where the “Antwerpen Express“ was in the harbour.
How do the MERUS rings work?
This is as easily explained as the rings are installed: after the installation the rings give off tiny oscillations which then disturb the scaling. Afterwards the troublesome substances are simply flushed away leaving the equipment in question, in this particular case the Alfa Laval Fresh Water Generator, free from scaling or any other harmful build-up. By installing the MERUS rings you not only bring back the initial performance level but you also considerably increase the equipments lifetime. Last but not least the MERUS rings, once installed, do not require any maintenance which in turn means crucial saving in time and operational costs.
